Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) |
|
Punjab Examination Commission is an autonomous body set up by the Government of the Punjab to assess and examine students’ learning achievements particularly of grade 5 and 8. PEC started functioning in 2005 and in 2006 conducted 5th grade population examination for the first time in the Province. Now PEC is a statutory body working under Punjab Examination Commission Act XI of 2010. The sample analysis of the examinations conducted in the districts depicted the following results:

The Punjab Education Foundation was established under the Punjab Education Foundation Act of 1991 as an autonomous statutory body to encourage and promote education in the private sector operating on non-commercial/ non-profit basis.

Any contribution to the Foundation received from Government or other bodies or persons to defray all proper costs, charges and expenses of and incidental to the Administration of the Foundation to apply the corpus and or the income of the Foundation for the benefit of the beneficiaries and their dependents, generally to administer the Foundation for the purpose and in the manner indicated in the annexure to this scheme and to do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them or to the carrying out of this scheme. |
